How can the Universal Scanner in the PheedLoop Go Event App be used?
PheedLoop's Universal Scanner allows Attendees to use one coherent tool for all types of scanning: attendee badges, session check-in codes, lead capture, and gamification codes are all read by the Universal Scanner and then processed depending on the type of QR Code scanned.

Activating the Universal Scanner
The Universal Scanner only appears for an event if that event has at least one of the Power-Ups it depends on enabled: Gamification, Advanced Networking (attendee scanning), Lead Retrieval, or Onsite (session self-check-in). If none of these Power-Ups are applied to your event, the Universal Scanner will not appear within your event's Event App.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't the Universal Scanner appearing in my event's Event App?
Your event must have at least one of the required Power-Ups applied in order for the Universal Scanner to be relevent and visible. These Power-Ups include:
- Advanced Networking
- OnSite Check-In
- Lead Retrieval (Premium Exhibit Booth)
- Gamification
If the Universal Scanner isn't appearing in your event, please double check that you have at least one of the above Power-Ups claimed to your event.
What happens if I scan an invalid QR code?
If an invalid QR Code is scanned, you will receive an error message that the QR code isn't recognized. QR Codes are invalid if they are not associated with your PheedLoop event (i.e., they are associated with another PheedLoop event, or they are not associated with PheedLoop at all).
Can I disable the Universal Scanner for my event?
The Universal Scanner will only appear if your event has relevent Power-Ups purchased and enabled. If the Universal Scanner functionality isn't relevant to your event, and you don't have any applicable Power-Ups applied, then the Universal Scanner will be hidden within the Event App by default.
I'm an event admin; can I use the Universal Scanner to check Attendees into my event?
No, the Universal Scanner cannot be used for administrative actions, such as Event or Session Check-In. It can only be used for Attendee Session Self Check-In.
